We will be sad to say goodbye to our Music Therapist, Simon, this term as he heads off on new music therapy adventures and working with his band! Simon completed his placement here as a student, before joining us as our fully qualified music therapist. He has brought so much fun to Wednesdays; the children have all enjoyed group music and gained so much from their 1-1 music sessions. You can see a video of one of these sessions here.

Music therapy will continue at COG with our new music therapist, Rosie, who joins us from January 2025. Our music therapy and group musical activities programme will continue as before, once a week on a Wednesday.

Children who would benefit from building confidence, communication skills and more have the opportunity to take part in 1-1 Music sessions, while all children take part in our group musical activities. You can read more about how Music therapy supports children at COG here.

COG will continue to work with Music Space, who provide and support the music therapist for this programme, which will be kindly funded for us by The National Lottery Awards for All.
