Here at COG we benefit from a purpose-built early years centre with a variety of spaces and large, beautiful grounds. We are fortunate to have our own car park which is available for use when hiring our indoor and outdoor spaces.

Our spaces are suitable for small community groups, looking for a room with adjacent kitchen and toilet facilities, or for community or business meetings close to the centre of town. We may also be of interest to groups hosting activities for children, and especially suitable for those with additional needs; our entire site being safely enclosed from the road behind a high fence.

For those looking for outside space, a variety of areas available for hire include our play area with wooden play structures suitable for children up to the age of 8 years; a large garden with two wooden play houses, a large play boat, wooden sculptures and large living Willow play structure. Added to this is our private, enclosed woodland area, with further living Willow structures, including a 'base camp', a covered classroom and a composting toilet. This area is bordered by the River Churn, which is safely behind a high fence.

Our Spaces

Our spacious Annexe room provides flexible accommodation for up to approximately 50 people, depending on layout and usage requirements. Ideal as a small meeting space, networking room or to host a professional or family gathering. The Annexe is a warm and welcoming space, bright and airy with ambient underfloor heating.

The Annexe space includes a small integral kitchenette, with oven and hob, washing up facilities (no dishwasher available) and a single accessible toilet with nappy changing facilities.

For a small additional fee, use of a small adjoining meeting room can be arranged.

A large grassy area suitable for hosting community events; adults and children enjoy this quiet, green space in a variety of ways. Safely fenced and away from the road, it's a world away from but very close to the town centre. Equipment including the slide, pictured, is available to children up to 8 years of age, as are the wooden play structures pictured below.

The sheltered area which links the car park to our 'Annexe' building, and with gated access into our playground, offers flexible use - from merely keeping you dry while outside, perhaps unloading a vehicle, to being available for 'messy play' activities as an extension to using the Annexe room for children's activities.

Our woodland 'Forest School' area boasts beautiful walkways, one covered with trailing honeysuckle and roses during Summer months, as well as a Base Camp, covered shelter/classroom, seating areas, living Willow structures and a composting toilet!

All areas are suitable for adults and young children.

Please consider us for professionals meetings, community groups, team-building or networking events.

We can provide a warm and welcoming space, as well as fun in the outdoors, for evening/weekend/school holidays-based clubs, for example community or private 'knit&natter', book clubs or other craft activities; community baby and toddler groups, or private baby group get togethers. We strive to combat loneliness and isolation, particularly among young families, so if you feel our spaces are right for your purpose, please get in touch.

Our spaces are more often available during evenings and school holidays. Daytime bookings during term time are limited due to our centre operating times but please contact us to check.
