"An independent playgroup enabling children with special needs to play and learn with other children."
Lottery win helps COG Forest School project - £10,000 to provide secure fencing for our new Forest School.
We are very fortunate to have an excellent purpose built building with a large playroom, book room, a small therapy room for our speech and music therapists to use, a wonderful soft playroom and a family room. Naturally we have wheelchair access and a bathroom for wheelchair users.
There is also a kitchen as all children attending morning sessions are provided with a home-cooked lunch.
Our outside play area has recently been refurbished thanks to receiving a grant to allow us a superb sandpit, paved areas and large planters in which the children help to plant seedlings and grow their own fruit and vegetables. We also have a large grassy area with trees and wild garden. Helpers have woven a willow maze and built a mosaic pathway leading out to it.
The superb gardens allow children to help plant seedlings and grow their own fruit and vegetables.
"Staff provide an interesting and welcoming environment which encourages children to learn independently"
